From the 3rd – 5th of October, 332 Fortrose Academy pupils took part in the interhouse competition. This was the first round of the competition this year.
From the 3rd – 5th of October, 332 Fortrose Academy pupils took part in the Interhouse competition. This was the first round of the competition this year.
The events were hockey and football. S3 took part Monday 3rd October periods 1 and 2 whereas S1 was 6 and 7. S2 played on the 5th October in periods 3 and 4 and seniors took part in periods 5 and 6. Many pupils and teachers also watched this event.
Miss Foster, PE, said “I thought the teams were extremely enthusiastic and played very well but I thought the teams were a bit unfair because some of the hockey team were in a lot of one house but we made them as fair as possible”.

Mr Morton, Head of PE said “It was a marvellous day and I was very pleased with the results, I think it was a good opportunity for pupils to work on their leadership and teamwork skills”
“I enjoyed playing in the interhouse but I thought our team could have played better” says Luke Collingwood 2C “I didn’t think the teams were fair though”
The next events coming up are basketball, cross country, dodgeball and last of all the big finale of sports day before the summer holidays.
