We interviewed five pupils who play violin to see what they really think about it. All answers are anonymous. We asked them a series of questions and this is how they answered: In 2012, Disney film Brave was released and soon became very successful. By 2014, it had already won an Academy award, a Golden Globe award, and a BAFTA award (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) - all for “Best Animated Film”.
Brave is an animated film based in Scotland. It is about a young Scottish princess called Merida who does not agree with the life her mother has planned out for her, so she rebels and makes choices that might come back to haunt her. A pupil from Fortrose Academy was lucky enough to feature in this Disney Pixar production. We have interviewed Peigi Barker in second year to find out about her ‘film star’ experience. (S2) For our e-News article we interviewed Benjamin Morgan (S2) about his acting career. Benjamin has been in many productions before, and was most recognisably he was in the children’s TV series, Katie Morag. The pupils we have chosen are seniors who have taken Higher music and Mrs Gilliland who is the head of department. ng events and generous donations. Thanks to those we interviewed. Fortrose may be a small town, to some it possibly will be seen as isolated, but unknown to many, Fortrose has connections across the globe. People have moved to Scotland from as far away as Asia and South America. Even in the school many pupils have moved from other nations.
